Paul Johnson is the Managing Director of Outsourcing Consultants located in Dubai, UAE. Born and brought up in Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley, he graduated from Cardiff School of Physiotherapy in 1990. Paul served in the Royal Navy Medical Services for six years following graduation. His various postings allowed him to work in various areas of the UK along with time spent in the USA, Norway and Gibraltar. He finished his military career as head physiotherapist at the world renowned Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM).
In 1998 Paul moved to Dubai and worked at one of the most prestigious private hospitals in the region helping it to achieve JCI accreditation as the first in the Middle East. Here Paul gained valuable insight into the regional healthcare sector and developed a large network of relevant contacts that eventually sparked the idea for Outsourcing Consultants.
Formed 14 years ago, Outsourcing Consultants set out with the aim of focusing on recruitment, human resources and consultancy within the healthcare sector in the Arabian Peninsula. It soon became apparent from the many enquiries received that besides the HR business there was a big demand for a company to assist others from the UK to explore the regional market using an "in-market" consultancy approach. This scalable professional representation that is based locally delivers bespoke outsourced services that offer a rapid, cost effective response in order to deliver the best ROI to any client wishing to explore the regional market.
Paul has assisted companies, mainly in the healthcare sector, both privately and through the Welsh Government ITO scheme for many years, linking closely with the regional representative based in Dubai covering the MENA region.
Martin Payne is the Commercial Development Consultant of Outsourcing Consultants located in Dubai, UAE. Born and brought up in Taunton, Somerset in the South West of England. Martin worked for the Royal Navy Hydrographic Office for eight before moving into filed Sales in 1998 for a Major Blue Chip FMCG Company, R. Twining & Co Ltd of London. In 2003 Martin chose to pursue a career in Pharmaceutical / Healthcare Sales working mostly on contracts for most of the major Multi-Nationals in therapy areas such as Respiratory, Diabetes, Pain Management, Cardio-Vascular and Sexual Health.
In 2012 Martin moved to Dubai and began working with Outsourcing Consultants in the Middle East, where Martin has gained valuable insight into the regional healthcare sector and is developing a large network of relevant contacts to help Outsourcing Consultants expand into this rapidly growing marketplace.
